Tom Clemmons

Tom Clemmons is currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Development. His goal as an ambassador for ÎçÒ¹¿ì²¥ is to strengthen the connection of the university with donors, churches, pastors, alumni, and friends. He grew up in North Carolina. His dad was a Myrtle Beach High School graduate and attended the University of South Carolina, and his mom was from Fayetteville, North Carolina. He earned a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in national security policy from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He was ordained in 1991 by Crosswell Baptist Church in Sumter, S.C., while stationed at Shaw Air Force Base. His life verses are John 17:3-4, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given me to do.â€

Your Purpose. Our Mission.

I enjoy meeting students and prospective students. I want them to experience our Christ-centered ÎçÒ¹¿ì²¥ education and make a difference in the world for good. I want our churches to know that ÎçÒ¹¿ì²¥ is unapologetically Christian and a safe place to entrust their students. 2 Corinthians 5:9 guides my work and travels daily: "So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him."
